Smart Jogger Testimonials

Everywhere I go I run into people with incredible stories about their "close calls."  This page is dedicated to those who run and live to tell about it!

Testimonial:
Years ago, I was out for what seemed like another
typical run through the city.  While I was running on
the sidewalk, a negligent driver plowed right into me.
Apparently, he was racing to beat the traffic light
as he exited a small shopping center.

He failed to notice that I was to become his newest
hood ornament as his car sped over the sidewalk on
which I ran.  As the vehicle clipped my legs, I became
airborne and flew across the hood.  I was propelled
approximately fifteen feet away from the point of
impact.

By the grace of God, I received only a few minor
scrapes and bruises.

Just imagine if I had suffered serious bodily injury.
I had no form of identification on me or anything that
indicated an emergency contact.  You can see how this
story would have ended.  So listen up people.  The
volume of traffic grows constantly.  This coupled with
driver distraction and negligence poses quite a
significant risk for us runners and walkers alike.

Don't forget, I was well within my pedestrian rights
ON THE SIDEWALK and I still almost became roadkill.

You do the math and you'll find that part of the
equation that equals safety is the Smart Jogger.

The Smart Jogger Company wants you all to be safe when you're out on the road. Our friends at the Atlanta Track Club have said it well “Cars weigh two tons. You don't. Please follow these common sense Rules of the Road:

•  Run facing traffic

•  Never wear headphones

•  At dusk or at night, wear light-colored clothing and a reflective vest

  Carry ID

•  Let family know where you are going

•  Cross streets at pedestrian crossings

•  Use sidewalks when possible

•  To avoid hassle and unwanted attention, vary your route and run in familiar neighborhoods”

Run safe and be safe with a Smart Jogger ID tag because it's the smart thing to do!
